While you wait for us

  1. Turn off the main water shutoff. It is usually where the water line enters the house, or in the garage near the water heater.
  2. If the water heater is leaking, turn it off: set a gas heater's dial to Off, or switch off the breaker for an electric one.
  3. Open a cold tap at the lowest point in the house to drain the pipes.
  4. Keep people and power cords away from standing water.

How booking works

  1. Call or book online

Tell us what's going on. A photo of the problem helps.

  2. Get an arrival window

We give you a window that suits you and text when the plumber is on the way.

  3. See the price first

The plumber finds the cause and writes up the price. Nothing starts until you agree.

  4. Fixed and cleaned up

We test the repair with you, clean up and take the old parts away.

A small crew that answers the phone

Wrenfield is a family-run plumbing company. The person who books your visit works in the same office as the plumbers, so what you tell us on the phone reaches the person who shows up.

We carry common parts on the van, so most repairs are finished on the first visit. When a part has to be ordered, we tell you when it will arrive before we leave.

Questions

Something else? Call (555) 555-0147.

Will I know the price before you start?

Yes. The plumber finds the cause, tells you what needs doing and gives you a written price. No work starts until you agree to it.

Can you come today?

Often, yes. Call in the morning and we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it today or give you the first time tomorrow.

Do you charge for the visit?

There is a call-out charge that covers the visit and finding the problem. If you go ahead with the repair, it comes off the price of the job.

Should I repair or replace my water heater?

It depends on the age of the tank and what has failed. A thermostat or valve is usually worth repairing; a leaking tank is not. We'll give you both prices so you can decide.

What happens after hours?

The emergency line rings the plumber on call at night, on Sundays and on holidays. For anything that can wait, book online and we'll call you back the next working day.
